Before you arrive
- Tell us your arrival time. A quick WhatsApp message with your expected arrival helps us have everything ready.
- Deposit and environmental contribution. The €200 refundable damage deposit and the environmental contribution (€1.50 per adult per night, capped at €22.50 per adult) are collected separately. We'll contact the lead guest with the amounts, timing and payment options before arrival.
- Identification. We may ask for guest identification needed for Malta's accommodation registration requirements.
- No need to pack bed linen, towels, beach towels, chairs, mats or umbrellas. They're all at the house.
Getting here
Cloud 9 is at 9 Triq Filfla, Għajnsielem GSM 1411, in the village just above Mġarr Harbour, where all ferries from Malta arrive.
Ferries from Malta
Gozo Channel (cars and passengers) runs from Ċirkewwa, about 25 minutes, 24 hours a day; no reservation needed. Gozo Highspeed (passengers only) runs from Valletta, about 45 minutes.
From Mġarr Harbour to the house
Cloud 9 is a few minutes' drive up the hill from the ferry, in Għajnsielem. The easiest way is to follow Google Maps to the door.
Parking
You're welcome to use the driveway, and parking in the street is free.
Check-in and checkout
Please send us your expected arrival time so we can have everything ready. Checkout is by 10:00 AM on your departure day.
Access details are sent to you personally. For your security, door codes, keys and entry instructions are never published on this page. You'll receive them directly from us before your arrival.
The house
Wi-Fi
Free Wi-Fi covers the house. You'll find the network name and password inside the house.
Air conditioning and heating
All four bedrooms and the kitchen have air conditioning for cooling and heating. The remotes are in the rooms.
Kitchen
Electric oven and gas hob, mini-oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, kettle and sandwich maker, with cookware, real cutlery and cleaning products. Coffee, tea and condiments are provided to get you started.
Laundry
A washing machine is in the upstairs washroom, with an iron and ironing board. The terrace has space for drying clothes.
Beach equipment
Beach towels, chairs, mats and umbrellas are at the house for your days out.
Rubbish and recycling
Għajnsielem collects household waste from the street. Put your bag in front of the house on the morning of collection, before 7:30 AM, not the night before, and never in front of other properties.

Glass is collected on the first and third Friday of each month.
Ninth guest and cot
An adult-size folding bed in Bedroom 3 sleeps a ninth guest, and a baby cot is free on request. Let us know in advance so they're ready.
Safety
The house has smoke alarms and fire extinguishers, and a safety deposit box in every bedroom. Please supervise children on the stairs and terraces, and report anything that isn't working promptly.
House rules
- Quiet hours 10:00 PM – 8:00 AM
- We kindly ask you to keep things quiet in these hours, out of respect for our neighbours. Parties, events and disruptive gatherings are not permitted.
- No smoking indoors
- Smoking is welcome on both terraces, but never indoors.
- No pets
- Pets are not permitted.
- Overnight guests
- The number of overnight guests must not exceed the number booked.
- No visitors
- Only the guests included in your booking may enter the property, including during the day.
- Secure the house
- Lock doors and close windows when you go out, and tell us straight away about any access issue.
- Report problems promptly
- If anything breaks or isn't working, message us so we can fix it quickly.
Departure
Checkout is by 10:00 AM.
- Switch off the lights and the air conditioning.
- If you can, gather your rubbish into one bag. That's all. Thank you!
- Your €200 deposit is returned after checkout, less any reasonable deductions explained to you.

What time can we check in and out?
Check-in is from 10:00 AM and checkout is by 10:00 AM. Please message us your expected arrival time before you travel.

Is there a pharmacy open on Sunday?
Yes, by rota. The official pharmacy roster lists which Gozo pharmacies are open on Sundays and public holidays.
How do we get around without a car?
Buses run from Mġarr Harbour and Għajnsielem to Victoria, Gozo's bus hub (routes 301, 303 and 323). For taxis, Bolt is the most widely used app on Gozo; Uber and eCabs also operate.
